How To Straighten Hair For Men
Today, getting straight hair, is easy as a sitting at a hair salon, that offers different kinds of chemical treatments for permanent straightening which can last up to a year. Of course, these treatments do not come cheap, and during the course of time, the hair texture also pays due to chemicals and hot irons.
straight hair is hair that simply grows straight without curving. Mind you, there will be some minor curving if enough length is grown in a straight lock due to the peculiarities of daily wear and tear and of mechanical action such as combing or heat styling. However, the curving will be very slight and only appreciable when the hair is long (I’m talking of more than 6 inches of hair length).
To make things a little easier for you to ID your hair, back when I was creating this guide I decided to include a length mark for you to use so as to identify whether your hair is straight or not, and this length mark is 3 inches starting from the scalp. If you hair does not bend within the first 3 inches of its length starting from the scalp, you then have straight hair; if, instead, it curves, then move onto the other types for proper identification as your hair will be wavy, coiled or kinky.
For reference, dudes with straight hair include Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and our friend Justin Bieber.
Here are some methods to get the kinks and curls out of hair, at home, using ingredients from the shelves.
Celery Leaves Extract: Chop a bunch of celery leaves and extract its juice by blending and straining through a muslin cloth. Store this in a bottle overnight. Next day apply the juice to length of hair and scalp. Comb with a broad toothed comb so that all the hair is covered and leave it on for an hour. Rinse hair well. Blow dry gently, using a circular brush with natural bristles.
Milk Spray: A very popular technique is to mix 1/2 cup of water with 1/2 a cup of milk and pour this into a spray bottle. Comb out the tangles before starting. Spray this milk on hair and scalp. Comb again. Leave milk on the Hair for half an hour before washing gently with water. Comb with a broad toothed comb. Repeat this technique 2-3 times a week. Can Blow dry with a brush for a finished look.
Multani Mitti Pack: Take a cup of "Fuller’s Earth" or "Multani Mitti" and mix 1 egg white and 2 spoons of rice flour to this. Add water to make a paste which should be runny enough to coat the hair, but not flow at the same time. Leave for half an hour and comb with a wide toothed comb. Repeat this 2-3 times. Wash hair with water and a gentle shampoo after 2 hours.
Coconut Milk Treatment: Another trendy tip is coconut milk treatment. Extract milk from 1 coconut by first grating and then blending the tender fruit or meat of coconut. Add the juice of 1 fresh lime to this. Mix well and keep in the refrigerator overnight. Next day use the creamy lever on hair and scalp. Cover the head with a hot towel and keep for an hour. Wash with water and comb with a wide toothed comb. Repeat 2-3 times a week for good results. Blow drying is an option.
