Singer Christina Grimmie died after Being shot in Florida

Singer Christina Grimmie, who had competed on the US TV programme The Voice, has died after being shot in Florida, police said.

A man opened fire on her when she was signing autographs after a concert in Orlando. The 22-year-old singer died in a local hospital.

The assailant -- who was tackled by Grimmie's brother -- then shot and killed himself, reported E! online.

Grimmie was signing autographs with band members of Before You Exit, with whom she performed earlier, when a gunman approached and opened fire before her brother tackled him at the Plaza Live music venue, the Orlando Police Department said on Twitter.

Grimmie died from her injuries, the department said in a post early Saturday.

The suspect shot and killed himself, police tweeted.

Grimmie placed third during the 2014 season of the "The Voice," a singing competition on NBC.

"We are heartbroken," said "The Voice" in a Twitter post late Friday.
Meanwhile, Grimmie's publicist said: "It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord."

A police investigation is now under way into how the suspect had managed to enter the venue with the firearms. News of the attack spread quickly on social media, with many fans voicing their shock and anger.

Grimmie first came to prominence as a teenager for her renditions of hit songs, amassing a huge following on Youtube.

In 2011, she released her debut musical recording Find Me. Her second EP - Side A - followed in February 2016.

Nani New Film Gentleman The First Look Poster Was Released

The new film in the combination of actor Nani and director Indraganti Mohan Krishna is titled Gentleman. On the eve of Sri Rama Navami festival, the first look poster was released.

It was with Indraganti's 'Ashtachemma', Nani debuted as actor. This is second film in their combination. The movie is being produced by Sivalanka Krishna Prasad on Sridevi Movies banner that produced hit movies like 'Aditya 369' and 'Vamsanikokkadu'.

'Gentleman' has completed its shoot and is gearing up for audio launch shortly. Manisharma has composed the music. The film stars Surabhi and Niveda Thomas as heroines.

One of finest actors in present pack is Nani and his Gentleman is due release soon. Nani revealed many interesting facts about how he is a Gentleman and he liked to be one. Nani was expected to pick some masala film and pure entertainer after his BBM and Krishnagadi veera Prema Gadha. 

But the actor choose to go for a thriller with his favorite Indraganti Mohan krishna, as he senses good with the story and gets well connected to it. Mohan Krishna worked a lot on David Nathan's story and the final version has got every reason to get Nani Okayed for lead role. Nani too admits that there were many people who asked him not to go for Gentleman, but he says he knows what he is looking for. 

Nani has a reason for choosing Gentleman and reveals it that he do not want to look silly after a decade or two, if it is a hit film now. Nani knows what a sensible film looks like and how that film remains good and fresh even after decades. Nani does not deny being happy with back to back successes of same genre, but he never wants to stick himself in a box. Well, that explains his thought. 

And the movie Gentleman shows Nani as protagonist with negative shades too. We have seen a hero with all good qualities, lovable by all, with whom goons love to lock horns and get beaten to pulp and so on all these years. But Gentleman is an exception and Nani believes he can prove his detractors wrong with his role. The natural star never believes in overnight stardom and films choice of films make him strong star for sure, gradually.
